Compatibility

System Requirements

The planned supported environment for the first public DFrame release.

Current support baseline

Operating system64-bit Windows 10 or Windows 11. DFrame is not a native macOS add-in.
Autodesk RevitThe first public release targets Revit 2025 and Revit 2026. Each version becomes publicly supported only after its complete release matrix passes.
.NET runtimeThe installer checks the required Microsoft .NET runtime and reports missing prerequisites.
InternetRequired for first activation, periodic licence validation, update checks and online services. A successfully validated licence can continue offline for up to seven days.
PermissionsThe user must be able to install the add-in and write DFrame settings and logs in the Windows user profile.
Model contextMost modules require an open Revit project. Some commands also require suitable views, loaded links, selected elements or compatible families.
DisplayA modern display at standard Windows scaling is recommended. DFrame windows are designed to resize, but very small work areas reduce usable table space.

Revit version policy

Installer hooks may exist for additional Revit releases, but a version becomes publicly supported only after installation, module, upgrade and uninstall tests have passed for that release.
