DFrame module 08 · Analytics
Model Replay
for Revit.
Record and review Revit model changes, compare timeline moments, inspect potential impact and export the audit history.
Problem and approach
Why Model Replay exists.
Model Replay records Revit document-change events while DFrame is active. Review added, modified and deleted element records, compare two recorded moments and export the resulting audit history.
Replay navigates the recorded sequence and can focus existing elements. It does not restore an earlier model state or replace formal version control, so model backups and Revit collaboration history remain essential.
Input to result
Model Replay, step by step.
Three decisions that move the task from source information to a result ready for review.

- 1.
Record changes while working in Revit
- 2.
Filter, compare or replay the recorded timeline
- 3.
Export the audit history for review
Controls
What the module lets you inspect.
A structured audit trail for investigating model changes without presenting the timeline as a model rollback system.
Review recorded model-change events
Inspect added, modified and deleted element events recorded while DFrame is active, with timestamps that support investigation.
Compare two moments and inspect potential impact
Place two recorded moments side by side to understand what changed and which existing Revit elements may require attention.
Export the audit history to CSV
Create a portable CSV audit trail for coordination notes or external review without presenting the history as model rollback.
Best suited for
